Arboreta, the Latin plural of the familiar arboretum, is about the relationship of human-made structures and a natural habitat. A habitat which itself is planned and carefully tended - sometimes formally arranged to suggest human hegemony over the natural world - and sometimes craftily arranged to simulate the benevolent anarchy of natural selection.
